ABOUT
Vermont-born mezzo-soprano Brooke Larimer has been celebrated for her “richly hued voice and nicely timed comedic ability” (Pittsburgh in the Round), her "lusty presence" (Syracuse.com), and her "stunningly dramatic" performances (ClevelandClassical.com).
During recent seasons, Ms. Larimer made several role debuts including Dorabella in Così fan tutte with Opera on the James, the Old Prioress in Dialogues of the Carmelites as a guest artist at Baldwin Wallace University, Filippyevna in Syracuse Opera’s production of Eugene Onegin, and Auntie in Peter Grimes with Madison Lyric Stage; she also reprised the roles of Mistress Quickly in Falstaff with Resonance Works | Pittsburgh, Flora in La traviata with Syracuse Opera, and Mercédès in Carmen with both Opera on the James and Syracuse Opera.

I will be performing the role of La Poncia in the world premiere production of La Casa de Bernarda Alba with Cleveland Opera Theater. The production was postponed due to COVID, but will be scheduled during 2022. Check back soon for dates!
